Model Repair More Automatic

Jan. 6, 2005
CADfix 6.0 lets users repair and translate data between CAD, CAM and CAE systems.

CADfix V5 can perform a CAD model quality analysis against predefined or user-specified standards, and an updated ACIS import/export feature has links to ACIS V11 libraries.

A revamped user interface, streamlined workflow, and extensive new "find-and-fix" capability helps boost design-to-manufacture productivity. A reorganized GUI lets novice users get up and running quickly, and it lets occasional users return as needed, confident of immediate productive results. A wizard guides users through the import, repair, and export processes with minimal manual intervention. Translations are as straightforward as choosing a file and target system, and letting the software do the rest. It color codes problems and delivers diagnostic summaries and choice of solutions. Following repairs, the software reassesses the model, ensuring fixes are done before the next is made. Geometry failures now come with a list of recommended tools and options for fixing the problems.
