Minarik Purchases Southwest Controls

Minarik Corporation, a leading national value added motion control distributor, today announced that it has reached a definitive agreement to purchase Southwest Controls, Inc. located in Anaheim, California. Southwest Controls, considered to be the leading motion control distributor in the Southern California area.

Minarik Corporation has reached a definitive agreement to purchase Southwest Controls Inc. located in Anaheim, California. Southwest Controls, considered to be the leading motion control distributor in the Southern California area, increases Minarik Automation and Controls also strong position in that market by adding to its existing locations in Orange County and San Diego. As a result of the transaction, Southwest Control Inc. becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Minarik Corporation.

The companies will retain their separate identities and trade names to take advantage of the excellent reputations, which they have built. The sales and customer support functions will, however, be combined to provide maximum benefit to its customers. The acquisition is Minariks fourth acquisition in six years and shows the companys continued commitment to expanding its capabilities to support its customers and its suppliers.

Minarik, headquartered in Glendale, California, is a nationally recognized distributor of motion control and automation products with over $94 million in annual distribution sales. It currently has 16 distribution locations across the U.S. that focus on sales, service and application support. Minarik is also a leading U.S. manufacturer of 2HP and below DC drives for the industrial market.
