New Product: CAD/CAM with Real-Time Curvature and Draft Analysis

April 24, 2008
VX CAD/CAM Version 13, which targets consumer product and mold design, includes a new Zebra Stripe capability that lets designers analyze curvature for early insight into a product’s look and feel.

Also, a new Draft Analysis feature lets users determine a product’s moldability by showing if there is enough draft angle, a negative draft angle, or undercuts. Version 13 lets users work on a model while displaying results of either kind of analysis for realtime feedback without interruptions or slow-downs.
