Rugged Data-Collection System

Nov. 3, 2005
The CV60 Vehicle Mount Computer handles real-time data collection.

Its cast-magnesium housing mounts on vehicles or stationary platforms in manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, and transportation environments. The Bluetoothenabled device needs fewer accessories, cables, and tethered wires, which eliminates costly cables and lets users operate scanners and mobile printers near the computer. It comes with an Intel P-III ultralow-power 800-MHz processor and offers a choice of Microsoft Windows-CE or XP operating systems. A large, easy to view color screen with optional touchscreen can support any Windows applications. The unit's modular design lets users quickly swap-out hard drives and upgrade hardware on-site.
