CAM For Three And Five-Axis Machining

April 13, 2006
Esprit Mold CAM software for programming three and five-axis CNC machine tools features 20 different milling strategies and lets users combine them to optimize toolpaths.

Another feature optimizes machining for improved surface finish using the A and B axes to incline cutting tools. This lets users employ shorter, more rigid cutting tools and directly machine undercut areas. The software generates collision-free rapid movements between machining zones.
