Sil-Rated Interface Gear

March 17, 2005
K-System components provide signal transfer protection between field devices and control systems.

They consist of high-density intrinsic safety isolators for hazardous areas, signal conditioners for nonhazardous areas, limit alarms, and logic controls that all come in one housing style. Keyed removable terminals ensure modules are always properly connected. Modules mount in any orientation to panels, DIN rails, motherboards, and so forth. The components now meet SIL IEC61508 ratings to ensure conformity to international safety standards for systems and processes.
