New Product: Variable-Frequency Drive cables

Dec. 13, 2007
Variable-frequency drive cables carry power from industrial ac drive systems to ac motors and are available in eight symmetrical ground design, three conductor 16 to 2-awg designs.

They qualify for MSHA a n d UL direct burial approvals. They feature dual copper tape shielding to provide a low resistance path to ground, which improves common mode current containment. And dual spirally applied tapes provide flexibility and radiated and conducted noise protection. Three symmetrical bare ground wires provide a balanced ground system, which reduces ac motor shaft voltage and reduces the likelihood of premature motor or motor insulation failure. They also feature industrialgrade XLPE insulated circuit conductors, stranded tinned copper circuit conductors, and industrial-grade, sunlight and oil-resistant PVC jackets. Aluminum and steel armor is optional.
