The new generation of timing belts produces higher torque at higher speed that requires stronger shaft connections. Torque offers several shaft-locking options for its line of timing, variable-speed, V-ribbed, and companion pulley and roller chain sprockets including keyways, setscrews, D-bores, proprietary shaft-locking mechanisms, and collars. It's said the right locking mechanism reduces product costs through lower downtime, fewer equipment repairs, and reduced product loss.
