New Product: Stepmotor drive

Nov. 8, 2007
The ST5-Q Stepper Drive delivers up to 5 A with 24-to-48-Vdc input and provides eight digital inputs, four digital outputs, and two analog inputs.

Self-test and auto-setup measure and configure motor parameters automatically, while antiresonance designs eliminate midrange instability for higher motor speed and full use of available torque. Demand Signal Smoothing reduces extraneous system resonances for smoother motor performance and reduces wear on mechanical parts. Torque Ripple Smoothing adjusts current waveforms to reduce low-speed torque ripple for smooth motion at low motor speeds. Communication with the host controller is via RS-232/485. Options include an encoder board for stall detection and prevention and position maintenance.
