New Product: Rugged portable runs on 2-ghz dual-core processor

Oct. 11, 2007
The FLP-200 rugged, portable computer is about the size of a fat attaché case.

It runs on the Intel T2500 2-GHz Core Duo processor and has 512-Mbytes RAM, expandable to 2 Gbytes. Two fulllength internal slots for 32-bit PCI cards and one mini-PCI connector allow customizing units without adding an expansion chassis. The computer runs on dual lithium-ion batteries for 100 W and 190 W-hr., about three times the capacity of a conventional notebook.
