Linear Actuators

April 26, 2007
Size 8 linear actuators are now available with encoder feedback.

The modules incorporate a lensed LED light source and an internal monolithic photodetector array with signal-shaping electronics that produces two-channel bounceless TTL outputs. Features of the encoder include 120 to 330 cpr or 480 to 1,200 ppr and an operating temperature range of –10 to 85°C. The optical incremental encoder design is available with two-channel quadrature TTL square-wave outputs. The actuators come in a wide variety of resolutions ranging from 0.00006 to 0.00157 in./step and thrusts of up to 10 lb. The units can be microstepped for even finer resolution.
