Thermoplastics

May 19, 2005
The Meldin range of polyimide and high-performance thermoplastic materials come in rod, sheet, custom-molded parts and/or machined components, and stock shapes.

The materials retain their critical properties over temperatures ranging from cryogenic through 600°F in continuous operation and up to 900°F when used intermittently. The self-lubricating materials feature high dimensional stability, low thermal conductivity, and low friction. They can handle loads up to 300,000 psi-fpm dry. Meldin has many applications for engines, medical devices, electronics, aircraft/aerospace power systems, chemical processing, and semiconductor and industrial equipment. Free samples are available.
