Nonmetallic Fasteners

Sept. 15, 2005
Perpl-CPS plastic fasteners are designed for packaging and chemical processing, as well as plating operations.

They are made from fiber-reinforced Teflon, Isoplast, Ultem, PEEK, and other high-performance polymers. The reinforcements reportedly boost the fastener tensile properties by up to 82% compared to those made from traditional nonmetallic materials such as nylon. Perpl-CPS can replace fasteners in applications with standard UNC and metric threads and head configurations. Custom fasteners are available in lot sizes of 20 to 50 pieces.
