Positioning Tables With Zero Backlash

Jan. 11, 2007
Four different lines of motorized positioning tables produce zero-backlash.

These positioning stages consist of ball-screw drives that provide both horizontal and vertical motion. The tables use posidrive and offer straight-line accuracy up to 0.0001 in./in. of travel. They can be used for one, two, or three-axis configurations and handle loads from 30 to 180 lb. The heavy-duty tables give 48 in. of travel, straight-line accuracy of 0.005 in./in. of travel, and a maximum speed of 18 ips.
