Multiaxis Controllers

Feb. 8, 2007
The SEC-AC-SMLC multiaxis controller handles motion control, logic, and I/O tasks.

The fully integrated SMLC includes hardware and software building blocks that are engineered to easily plug together and work as a system. The programming platform — CoDeSys — is based on IEC 61131-3 Standard and offers a suite of programming languages that simplify machine development and support. These include Relay ladder logic, Function Block diagram, Structured Text, Instruction List, Sequential Function Chart, and Continuous Function Chart. PLCopen Motion function blocks cover both motion and administrative functions. Enhanced function blocks conforming to the PLCopen motion-block definitions, together with an option to develop application-specific functions, make the SEC-AC-SMLC a powerful, cost-effective, and efficient system for motion control and I/O.
