Elastomer Adhesive Resists Abrasives

June 3, 2004
Two-part EP30D-9 elastomer adhesive bonds, seals, casts, and encapsulates metals, glass, ceramics, wood, vulcanized rubbers, and many plastics.

ELASTOMER ADHESIVE RESISTS ABRASIONS

The compound reportedly combines the strength, chemical resistance, and adhesive properties of epoxy-based systems with the toughness, abrasion resistance, and flexability of polyurethane. It also resists thermal cycling, absorbs little water, is hydolytically stable, and has low moisture permeability. It stands up to salts, alkalis, acids, and many organic chemicals over a 60 to 250°F temperature range. EP30D-9 cures at room temperature and has a 100:15 mix ratio by weight.
