Component library for moldmakers

Nov. 22, 2006
Lib3D works with VX CAD/CAM to provide a library of smart mechanical components for moldmakers.

It is also a development tool that lets users build their own libraries. The tool includes a range of mold bases from widely used catalogs, along with standard mold components such as fasteners, waterlines, and sliders. Users can select components such as fasteners for a series of plates, for example, and the program calculates the required length and clearances and allocates manufacturing attributes to the resulting holes in the plates. All attributes such as supplier, material, and code are attached to the component and are available in the VX BOM and automatic hole-making strategies in VX CAM. A Basic version is available as a free download to all VX Version 12 users.
