New Product: Digital position controller

May 8, 2008
EPOS2 is a digital positioning controller designed to control brush and brushless dc motors with an encoder.

The controllers cover a performance range from 1 to 700 W. It uses a 32-bit digital signal processor for motion-control calculations and communicates via the CANopen standard. Online commanding is carried out using CAN Master (EPOS P, SPS, Soft SPS, etc.) or PC via USB or RS-232 interface. A USB to CAN and RS-232 to CAN gateway function has also been integrated. Several drives can be networked and coordinated through the standardized CANopen interface for position, speed, and current control.
