h industrial environments in the presence of dirt, oil, water, and machine coolants.

The stainless-steel GHSAR/GHSDR 750 Series of LVDTs operate in hars Electronics and coil windings are hermetically sealed against hostile environments to IP-68. The GHSAR offers a through-bore design that allows air purging of the sensor bearings to remove potential contaminants.

Electrical termination is through a radially mounted sealed connector. This shortens the installed length of the LVDT for use in space-restricted locations. A detachable mating connector is supplied with every unit for damaged cable replacement. The spring-loaded shaft runs in a precision sleeve bearing connected to the LVDT core. The use of precision sleeve bearings results in a measurement repeatability of 0.000025 in. (0.6 m) and maximum linearity error of ±0.25% of full-range output. Units are available in standard measurement ranges of 0.1 to 2 in.

The GHSAR operates from 3 Vrms (nominal) and connects to any standard LVDT signal conditioner. The GHSDR features built-in electronics operating from a ±15-Vdc input and provides a precalibrated 0 to ±10-Vdc output working in conjunction with PLCs, digital indicators, a/d converters, computer-based data processors, and QC data-collection systems.
