A series of intelligent analog laser-distance sensors provide two discrete outputs that detect the presence of objects and indicate their precise position and size.

The model BOD 26K LB employs laser triangulation as its basic sensing technology and incorporates a CPU for signal averaging, min/max hold, signal hold, as well as full scalability over the entire sensing range. Models are available with extended sensing ranges of 30 to 100 mm and 80 to 300 mm. Resolution is better than 0.1% of full scale. Applications include dimension checking, contour sensing, fill-height sensing, machine-tool-status verification, and position measurement.
