Ylinder Position Sensor

Nov. 22, 2006
The SMAT electronic position sensor continuously monitors the position of a cylinder piston within a range of 50 mm.

The unit works on a contactless, magnetic-measurement principle and is independent of magnet polarization. It features 0 to 10 V or 0 to 20-mA analog output and fits Size-8 cylinder slots. Installation merely involves inserting the sensor into the slot and locking in place with an Allen wrench. The sensor is suited for a wide range of gripping, clamping, and part-selecting applications.
