Proximity Sensor Has Extended Range

Jan. 6, 2005
The MetalHead proximity sensor is targeted for rugged applications.

A PTFE coating prevents foreign material, even weld splatter, from adhering to the stainlesssteel housing and mounting hardware. The sensors have an extended sensing range of 2 mm for the 8-mm diameter sensor and 4 mm for the 12-mm sensor. Operating power is from 10 to 30 Vdc in npn, pnp, or dc two-wire models. A high-intensity LED output sensor is viewable from a distance.
