Compact cylinders

Dec. 8, 2005
The RLQ Series compact cylinders have an integrated locking mechanism and a new style of air cushions.

Typical applications include drop prevention, workpiece clamping, and emergency stopping. The lock uses the same extrusion as the cylinder for a simple design with no unnecessary projections. Also, the lightweight and compact one-way lock mechanism permits installation in tight spaces. The RLQ's compact air cushion does not require a cushion ring, reducing overall cylinder length when compared to traditional air-cushion designs. The units are available in 32, 40, 50, and 63-mm bore sizes. For more information on RLQ cylinders, request catalog ES20-177. SMC Corp. of America, 3011 N.
