Less-Tiring Fatigue Analysis

March 3, 2005
MSC.Fatigue 2005 r1 evaluates durability and damage tolerance of components and systems.

The software lets users optimize designs for strength, weight, and shape. A few features include reduced simulation-set-up time when using the Aerospace Load Spectrum capability. This allows importing data from an ASCII file for block creation. A Large Model Translation capability breaks up models into groups based on available memory. Intelligent messaging guides users when overriding the memory allocations. A capability for gray cast-iron analysis takes into account the dominant influence of graphite flakes on the material's mechanical properties.
