    11.5-GHz Socket

    Oct. 26, 2006
The SS-QFN12D-01 socket for 0.4-mm pitch, 2-mm body QFN ICs operates at bandwidths up to 11.5 GHz with less than 1 dB of insertion loss.

The device works in a small, 2.5-mm footprint for up to 500,000 actuation cycles and dissipates up to 7 W over a temperature range of -40 to 120°C without an additional heat sink. High-endurance spring pins let the socket be used in applications including burn-in, production test, and prototype development. Pins operate with an inductance of 1.1 nH and capacitance to ground of 0.58 pF.
