Quadrature Demodulator For Wireless Devices

Feb. 17, 2005
This quadrature demodulator offers high spurious-free dynamic range from 40 to 900 MHz.

The LT5517 incorporates a pair of matched high-linearity mixers with an on-chip quadrature phase generator and splitter. The I and Q signal paths are internally gain matched to 0.03 dB typical, with a phase mismatch of 0.7°. The differential outputs have low dc offsets and built-in 130-MHz low-pass filters. The chip draws 90 mA from a single 4.5 to 5.25-V power source. An enable pin powers down the device to less than 0.1- A draw. The chip package is a 16-lead, 4 4-mm QFN.
