Preseal TPEs are for applications requiring high conductivity and easy processing.

Preseal TPEs are for applications requiring high conductivity and easy processing. The compounds are suitable for thermoplastic-processing methods (injection molding and extrusion), letting molders achieve complex shapes and sizes. Cycle times are short and there is no need for vulcanization. Silver or nickel-coated glass metal fillers provide electrical conductivity. Preseal TPEs have 0.003 to 0.030-Ωcm resistivity, 90 to 100-dB attenuation, and grades can be modified for galvanic compatibility with aluminum.
