Press-fit, vertical cardedge connectors let manufacturers avoid soldering by connecting highspeed, serial architectures to the thicker system boards found in server applications. The connectors target 0.093 to 0.165-in.-thick PCBs. Each serial connection supports 2.5 Gbytes/sec data rate in both directions.
