Brushless Motion Controllers

The MC73110 brushless-motor-control IC developers kit consists of a circuit board and software that lets designers evaluate motorcontrol ICs and high-performance brushlessdc motor controllers.
Nov. 18, 2004

The kit (DK3110) serves as a platform with which developers can build applications, test motors, and verify software. It exercises all features of the MC73110 motor-control IC, drives a three-phase, singleaxis brushless motor at up to 10 A, inputs analog or digital commands, and accepts a single-voltage, high-power input. It can also help develop a custom amplifier using external high-power switching circuits. The board provides software-programmable current, velocity, and commutation control for brushlessdc motors. It can operate in velocity, torque, or internal profile mode and provides six-step and sinusoidal communication as well as analog or digital command input, velocity profile generation, and six-signal symmetric PWM waveform generation.
