Flexible bearing material

Dec. 8, 2005
DM10 is a self-lubricating, maintenance-free flexible bearing material for clearance-free assemblies.

The material is lead-free and well suited for bearings in automotive applications including door hinges, seats, boots, tailgates and bonnets, convertible roof linkages, and belt tensioners. With a low coefficient of friction, high wear and corrosion resistance, and dimensional stability, the material is suitable for oscillating, reciprocating, and rotating movements. The material's good formability makes it ideal for flanged and spherical bearings. The bearings do not absorb water. The new material is available as cylindrical and flanged wrapped bearings, thrust washers, spherical cups, strip, and special parts.
