Surface-Mount, Card-Edge Connectors

April 27, 2006
Surface-mount MicroTCA card-edge connectors have a dual-row, 170-position interface that accommodates any standard AdvancedMC card for surface-mount installation.

This eliminates numerous drilled holes for connector leads, which simplifies the routing of PCB traces. The connectors support differential signaling at data rates of 12.5 Gbytes/sec, per lane, with low loss and cross-talk. They are lead-free, RoHS compliant, and follow PICMG standards currently under development.
