Linear Actuator With Feedback

Nov. 9, 2006
The Size 11 hybrid linear actuator with encoder feedback comes with two-channel quadrature TTL square-wave outputs, with an optional third channel output also available.

The encoder comes in resolutions of 200 to 1,024 cycles/rev or 800 to 4,096 pulses/rev. Operating temperature range is -40 to 100°C. A wide variety of resolutions are available ranging from 0.000125-in./step to 0.002-in./step. The actuators deliver thrusts up to 25 lb. An internal monolithic electronic module converts real-time position, speed, and direction into TTL-compatible outputs. The module uses a lensed LED light source and monolithic photo-detector array with signal electronics to produce the two channel bounceless TTL outputs.
