Oct. 11, 2007
Elexar EL-1392B thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) is RoHS-compliant and provides rubberlike flexibility and toughness over a wide temperature range.

The styrenic block copolymer TPE meets flame test requirements specified in UL 94 V-0 for thicknesses of 0.06 in. (1.5 mm), passes the VW- 1 vertical flame test (Method 1080 per UL 1581), has an oxygen index of 28%, and exhibits no dripping when burned. The TPE has a UL 1581 continuous use rating of 105°C. Wires with both insulation and jacketing made from Elexar EL-1392B passed a seven-day oil-resistance test at 60°C.
