Embed 3D Models In PDF, XLS, DOC Files, And More

April 27, 2006
Adobe Acrobat 3D lets users easily convert 3D models from a wide variety of major CAD formats and embed them in Adobe PDF and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files, without requiring CAD software.

Users can edit embedded objects by changing lighting, adding textures and materials, and creating animations such as assembly and disassembly instructions. Suppliers, partners, and customers use the free Adobe Reader to review product structures, use cross-section tools, and make measurements directly.
