    NEi Nastran V9, FEA software for high-end engineering analysis and simulation, differs from more staid Nastran versions attached to life-cycle/CAD systems.

    For example, V9 includes new parabolic shell elements, automated surface contact and weld generation, 3D composites using solid elements, vibration-fatigue analysis, combined qualitative-quantitative result assessment, and a Nastran editor with automatic report generator. The software also includes a number of industry-specific code enhancements for aerospace and maritime users. A 30-day evaluation copy is available.
