Software boosts electrical-component design

Ansoft's ePhysics 3D software for steadystate thermal, transient thermal, and linear-stress analyses now works with the company's HFSS and Maxwell 3D programs to provide a multidisciplinary approach to electrical-component design.

Applications include the analysis of MEMS, solenoids, electric machines, transformers, and power-generation systems. Also available are 64-bit solvers.
