Modular Power Supplies for Fieldbus

April 1, 2005
FieldConnex fieldbus power hub (FPH) connects multiple power supplies to fieldbus devices via digital data lines.

Designed for installation on DINrails, the FPH integrates fieldbus segment connections, appropriate terminators, and host-specific system connectors. The hub follows the passive design of powering the fieldbus network and provides redundant galvanic isolation and host spur protection. Cross-talk resonance suppression ensures proper communication, particularly in the event of wiring and ground faults. Multiple plug-on modules available include an isolated power module with 30 V at 500 mA., an isolated FNICO power module with 17 V and 500-mA rating, and nonisolated modules with host spur protection.
