Solvent-Free Cleaner For Ultrasound Cleaning Systems

Oct. 7, 2004
SF-50 removes tough, baked-on carbonaceous soils without using solvents.

It is a highly alkaline and virtually noncaustic solution, that combines several newly developed, extremely effective surfactants. Recommended dilution ratios are from 1:7 to 1:15 but concentration levels may vary with the cleaning application. It can be used at room temperature or up to 180F. It rinses in water. Although formulated for ultrasound cleaning systems, it can be used in agitated immersion tanks or steam applications. It is safe for most metals including stainless steel, carbon steel, brass, copper, and magnesium, as well as many plastics, ceramics, and composite materials. And if used at temperatures below 140F, it is safe on most aluminum alloys for short contact times, i.e., 2 to 3 min.
