The ION Digital Drive is a single-axis module that provides high-performance motion control, network connectivity, and amplification in an easy-to-use package for dc-brush, brushless-dc, or stepmotors. The driver implements fieldoriented control for efficiency and higher top-end rotation speed. The device's Magellan Motion Processor handles tasks such as initializing and controlling the motion application, monitoring performance, and synchronizing overall behavior. The ION can be programmed with Pro-Motion or C-Motion, and VB-Motion software libraries.
