A Modeler For Design And Analysis

May 25, 2006
SolidWorks 2006 3D mechanical-design software includes design-validation capabilities that put sophisticated analysis in the hands of designers.

The software also includes features that ease the migration from 2D to 3D design. These include the 3D Drawing View, which lets users working in 2D visualize parts and assemblies in three dimensions. Users can pan, rotate, and zoom without leaving the drawing environment. Display States lets users define an assembly's on-screen appearance for color, texture, and transparency. This lets models have shaded and wire-frame components displayed together in the same assembly. The software supports Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
