Cam-Operated Couplings

Dec. 9, 2004
A line of nylon and industrial-grade polypropylene camoperated couplings has been expanded with the addition of two new materials: PVDF and foodgrade-polypropylene.

All four materials offer high impact strength, lighter weight compared to their metal counterparts, and acid/solvent resistance. The PVDF version, made from FDA-approved ingredients, withstands temperatures to 300°F and is UV stable. The food-grade polypropylene resists animal, vegetable, and mineral oils, alkalis, salts, and alcohols. The corrosion-resistant couplings handle pressures up to 175 psi, depending on size, and are made to MIL-C-27487 dimensions. The materials are color coded: yellow for nylon, white for food-grade polypropylene, black for industrial grade, and the PVDF is translucent. Sizes range from 0.25 to 4 in.
