Femap Version 9.1, part of the Velocity design, analysis, and data-management software, works with Nastran to provides finite-element modeling and analysis in computers running on Windows.

The recent release has a fully associative interface with Solid Edge V18 for geometry transfer that maintains data integrity and translators for Catia V4 and V5, Pro/Engineer, SolidWorks, STEP, IGES, and any Parasolid or ACIS geometry. V9.1 features improved mesh quality around critical boundaries and stress raisers with a quadrilateral-element-meshing option. V9.1 also supports Nastran spot-weld elements for modeling sheet-metal-component fasteners.
