New Product: Stepmotor with single-axis controller

May 8, 2008
The EMMS-ST Stepper Motor and CMMS-ST Stepper Controller offer a comprehensive package for single and multiple-axis handling of loads up to 20 kg.

The two-phase stepper motor offers high torque with options for an integrated brake and incremental encoder feedback. Holding torque is from 0.5 to 9.3 Nm while external gearboxes offer 3:1 or 5:1 options. The CMMS-ST controller is said to eliminate resonance, heating, and loss-of-step providing true servoperformance in closed-loop mode. An SD/MMC memory card stores and loads parameter settings for 63 configurable positions and eight positioning profiles with sequencing capability and positioning profile overlapping. The controller has position, velocity, and torque control modes. Network interfaces for Profibus and DeviceNet are available as optional modules.
