Flow simulation for FEA

Aug. 4, 2005
CosmosFloWorks, fluid-flow simulation software, has multiple rotating frames of reference and lets users analyze heat and airflows in complex machines such as helicopters with two rotors and electrical enclosures with fans rotating in different directions.

CosmosFloWorks now includes multiple rotating frames of reference to let users analyze airflows in complex machines such as electrical enclosures with three fans rotating in different directions.

The software can also analyze flows created by assemblies with nonsymmetrical enclosures, such as impellers and centrifugal pumps. A few other features are steam analysis that takes into account steam's physical behavior, simulation for complex heat sinks, and analysis of liquid and gas in different regions of the same assembly.
