NC Simplifies Programming Multitasking Machines

Nov. 18, 2004
Esprit's SolidMillTurn software lets CNC programmers control multitasking machines with B-axis capability.

Esprit's SolidMillTurn features factory-certified posts and accurate G-code generation for Mori Seiki, Mazak, and Nakamura machine tools.

With one machine and one setup, this equipment does what previously required two machines and four setups. But programming tasks have been complex. The new CNC software is making five-axis multitasking machines accessible and letting shops achieve productivity gains with tools that create, optimize, and verify CNC programs in a native Windows environment.

SolidMillTurn lets users program milling and turning operations, on the front or back of the part, with the primary or secondary spindle, with the upper B-axis head or lower turret. The software comes in Traditional, Advanced, Production, and FreeForm levels.
