Magnetic Position Encoder

The 3650 and 3670 Series of encoders measure absolute position magnetically rather than optically, opening many applications that had previously been off limits to absolute encoders.

The 3650 and 3670 Series of encoders measure absolute position magnetically rather than optically, opening many applications that had previously been off limits to absolute encoders. They have a longer service life and higher reliability than potentiometers or commercial-grade encoders, andare resistant to humidity and condensation. The IP69K protection rating and temperature range from –40 to 85°C makes them suitable for outside use. The die-cast housing lets the encoders withstand >500-g shock and >30-g vibration. The compact design and blind hollow shaft up to 10 mm lets the unit mount in space-restricted locations. Magnet configurations support suitable measuring ranges from 45 to 360° as needed. Integrated LEDs for reference-point detection help startup and simplify fault diagnostics during maintenance.
