FEA Software Boosts Analysis

Aug. 24, 2006
Algor FEA software simulates static stress and mechanical events with linear and nonlinear material models, linear dynamics, steady-state and transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow, electrostatics, and full multiphysics.

V19.2 lets users model flow obstacles as distributedresistance parts, which can simplify 3D modeling. The program also includes new surface-to-surface contact options. Fast, industry-standard sparse solvers boost linear-dynamic analysis, static-stress analysis, and simulation. In addition, V19.2 sports distributed memory processing for 32 and 64-bit Linux (Red Hat) for static-stress analysis and simulation, and includes improved support for importing Nastran models.
