Software generates solids from scans

Oct. 12, 2006
RapidformXO Redesign software lets users generate fully parametric CAD solids from 3D scan and polygon-mesh data.

The software uses standard solid and surface-modeling workflows, and a user interface that is familiar to CAD users. Features include a wizard for aligning 3D scan data to a preferred coordinate system, redesign within userdefined deviation tolerances, one button mesh-to-surface model generation, and one button remeshing for CAE-functional models.
