Compact Positioning Table

Sept. 16, 2004
The PZA25 elevator positioning table uses a precision-machined wedge and recirculating bearing mechanism.

The wedge converts horizontal movement from a ball screw into vertical elevation of the table top (up to 25 mm), with positional feedback provided by an internal linear or rotary encoder. Vertical position resolution using the 25-nm linear encoder is 0.025 mm. A frameless motor eliminates the need for a motor coupler and an external motor, keeping the table compact. All signals go through an external cable instead of a connector on the table.
