Captive Linear Actuator

March 17, 2005
The Size 8 captive linear actuator is designed with an HIS integral antirotation mechanism

and is for applications where external antirotation methods are difficult or impossible to employ. The compact actuators feature engineering thermoplastics in the rotor-drive nut and a stainless-steel Acme leadscrew. Available in resolutions from 0.0015 to 0.04 mm/step, the actuators deliver thrusts up to 4.5 kg. The actuator frame measures 21-mm square. Typical uses include medical equipment, X-Y tables, automation, and valve control.
